Get to know Linux: ps command
Get to know Linux: ps command: "Over the years there have been certain commands that have really helped me out of a bind. One of those commands is the ps command. The ps stands for process status and it tells you, as you would expect, the status of a process. This is a fast way to know if an application or command is running on a Linux system. Oh sure you could fire up a swell GUI for the same purpose, but that GUI does you no good if you are working on a headless server installation or working on a remote machine. In those instances the ps command is your best bet for helping to manage processes."

In the current compilation state it allows to log into a linux system as 'root' user without typing the correct password or to elevate privileges from current user to root. For Windows systems it allows to enter any password protected profile without any knowledge of the password. It was acctually started as silly project of mine, which was born from my never-ending memory problems :) Secondly it was mainly created for Ubuntu, later i have made few add-ons to cover some other linux distributions. Finally, please consider this is my first linux project so far :) Entire Kon-Boot was written in pure x86 assembly, using old grandpa-geezer TASM 4.0."

LCD-Plasma Display Technology Shoot-Out
LCD-Plasma Display Technology Shoot-Out - 3D Graphics, Audio & HDTV by ExtremeTech: "If you were shopping for a large-screen HDTV just a few years ago you would have seen mostly Rear Projection HDTVs, based primarily on DLP, LCD and LCoS technologies, plus a fair number of pricey direct-view Plasmas, and maybe a few very expensive direct-view LCDs. Digg, Dug, Buried: How Linux news disappears - Computerworld Blogs: "Like it or lump it, the major reason that determines whether any given online story will get read or not is how much play it gets on news link sharing sites and social networks like Digg, reddit, and StumbleUpon.
