In a new development to the Oracle Effect on MySQL, the finnish database company, MySQL AB, is evaluating options to replace the Innobase functionality. It may be noted that six weeks ago, Oracle Corp., had acquired Finland's Innobase OY, a developer of the InnoDB open source database technology, for an undisclosed sum.
